Emily is a web developer, designer, photographer, and digital artist living in Shreveport, Louisiana with 15+ years of experience. She is the Founder & Owner of Social Butterfly Advertising & Design LLC — a creative agency she built from the ground up, offering advertising and design services to businesses across the Shreveport-Bossier region and beyond. She has spent her entire career honing her craft and learning as many facets of marketing as possible to provide top-notch marketing for her clients that retains the true, authentic feel of local businesses. She calls herself the “Social Butterfly” because if you know her, you know she has her hands in quite a few SBC projects, businesses, non-profits/organizations and community circles.
Alongside her entrepreneurial work, Emily serves as the Senior Editor and Strategic Communications Specialist for the American Rose Society, applying her marketing expertise to one of the nation's most storied horticultural organizations.
In the non-profit realm, she serves as the Secretary of the AAFSB, on the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, and on the NWLA Mardi Gras Association's Captain's Council as their PR Liaison. As if her plate was not already full, she started a grassroots non-profit Out of the Closet, dedicated to providing free clothing to the LGBTQIA+ community and marginalized folks in general.
